4 more days until I step foot onto the plane, 5 more days until I reach Guatemala, 6 more days until I get to see my great friends and sisters in Christ, and 7 more days until I get to see the kids and the ladies at the center again! WOW! This is going to be one wonderful week and weekend!
This morning I made up a list of everything I need to bring, goodness what a lot of stuff that is, pray I can fit it all into my suitcase! Some ladies I know have also offered to fill up another suitcase full of stuff for the kids for me to bring :) How wonderful is that?
Tomorrow I am planning on writing up the schedule for the kids at the center and what I will be doing each day when I am down there so, stay tuned!

Finally Down to the -teens
Nineteen days! Wow, it feels like just yesterday I started my planning to go down, it has come so fast and yet has been so long awaited. My goodness! So my flight leaves here on March 2nd and bounces around a bunch throughout N.America till it finally lands in Guatemala on March 3rd (yup, one whole day of flying to get me there.) My last layover is in Miami and that is where I will meet my first team. When our plane lands in Guatemala our vans will be there to pick us up and we will drive to Antigua where we will spend the weekend doing "touristy" stuff like shopping and zip-lining. Monday morning we will load up back on the vans and head for the center. This is where my real excitement lies! So March 5th I get to see my babies!! At the end of the day the rest of the team will head back to Antigua but I will be setting my self up in my new home away from home for the next 6 weeks.
This is such a blessing to me to be able to do this, I can't believe I have gotten the opportunity to go back again and serve these children and workers in this lovely country. I have many people to thank for helping my make this happen, first my family, who have been such great supports to me helping in whatever way they could the whole way. Next the wonderful friends who have contributed financially to aid in all my expenses. And finally I feel like I have to thank Florida Baptist Children's home who have invited me back time and time again and allowed me to grow beside them both in maturity and faith.

It's Getting Closer!
That day I have been waiting for since August 6th is getting closer! I have ever felt so passionate about anything in my life. Ever since that day 4 years ago when I walked into the city on my first trip to Guatemala I knew this is where I was called to be. The country overwhelmed me, the people, the sights, the smells, the sounds... all so out of the ordinary for us here in North America but I strangely felt so at home. At peace with myself. I remember the first thing I said when I got off of our bus and stepped into the center and saw the kids, I looked at my mom and asked "When are we coming back?" Those kids have touched my heart in a way I never thought possible. They come from so many different backgrounds and yet they are so the same, as are we. We walk into their halls thinking we are going to make such a difference... Sure we may paint the building or cook up some food, but the kids touch you and forever leave a hand print on your soul.
I cannot wait to get my little Sandra in my arms again.. I know she has been waiting for me. I hear from my best friend there that every time she goes to see the kids Sandra asks her "when will miss Ella come back?" But what she doesn't know what everyday I ask the same question... "when will I get to go back?!" I have gotten the pleasure of watching Sandra grow up from a lovely little 2 year old to a gorgeous, smart 6 year old. What I would give to be able to see her everyday and tell her in person that I love her and wish the best for her.
29 days until I will be on that airplane on my way to that precious country, 29 days until I get to be with the people I really love, 29 days until I see the sight and smell the smells, 29 days till I will truly feel at home.
