The End of this Chapter

Alright, I have finally gotten to posting this! Sorry it has taken so long, I have just been so busy with life, visiting family, adopting a kitten, and getting ready to go back to school. It has been crazy! But with no further ado - my last up date/reflection on the center.

I have been home now for about 2 weeks, yet it feels like forever, the time has gone so slowly.. but at the same time passed quickly... does that make sense? I have been home doing all me "home life" things, but am not allowing myself to slip back into habits of a North American. Guatemala has forever changed me, even from the very first trip way back when I started going. There are people who go on a mission trip, say they are changed, then slip back into their day to day lives acting like nothing happened. That is the easy option. It is easy to be a Christian, and to do good, to see things and make a change when you are half way across the world, away from temptation and surrounded by peers who love God and want the same things. They are there when its easy, fully into whatever they are into, speak the talk, but don't walk the walk. I want to make a change in myself, To promise myself I will live for Jesus and how He wants me to as much as I can, all of my life. Not just when it is easy, but when everything is going "wrong" in my opinion to be able to praise the Lord for everything he has gave me.

That got a little side tracked from the center... But that was what was in my heart to say so... enjoy!

Well, in my last days at the center I had a great time, really went all out spending as much time with the ladies and kids as possible. One of the afternoons I was putting the girls to bed and Sandra asked me to lay down with her and I thought "hey, why not?" so we had a great nap cuddled up on her bed. It was so sweet. The children have truly stolen my heart as I am sure they have stolen yours if you have met them. Just the beauty of their hearts is so pure and gentle, so different from anything your would find here.

But enjoy these pictures I have from my last couple days with the kids.

I was lucky enough to meet Sergio's Momma
She has grown so much!

Adeline and Elizabeth getting into trouble as always!

The girls locked me in the crib because they didn't want me to leave! :(

I spent my last day with Olivia and toured around Guatemala City, here are some pictures from that day

We hit up a fair!
