Well here I am in beautiful Guatemala.

Yesterday I met all of the other interns and spent the day with them. They are a truly wonderful group of people! I am so excited to spend 5 weeks with them. We went over what to expect at the center and the kids' routine ect... 3 out of 5 of us have been to the center before, two of us 4 times and one twice. It will be interesting to hear how the other interns feel about their first day at the center.

Today started early at 7 30, we had breakfast at the center and then met the team from Naples and Jacksonville Fl. The seem to be a really cool group of people. We went to the airport around 12 30 even though our flight was scheduled to leave at 4 10... Early is on time, on time is late and late is un acceptable. We got checked in and through security flawlessly, It was amazing. Our flight happened to be delayed by an hour at least but we made it in good time.

We traveled through Guatemala City to where we are staying, about an hour drive from the airport. The sights were amazing. I cannot wait to see what this week brings to me an this team!
