Long time no talk! I spent all yesterday in bed sick with a cold. I felt really poorly and my head was hurting and I felt very faint. This morning I felt a little better so I am up and spending sometime outside in the sun. The ladies are convinced though that even at 23'C it is too cold for me to venture outside at all, even though I feel like I need some vitamin D! And all the things we give people with sore throats in the states and Canada (like ice cream, freezies, ect..) are all no no's because it is too cold. And here, if you are sick, you must not have anything cold or be cold at all!
This morning I went to the clinic in the center to ask the nurse to check out my chest because I was having a hard time breathing, she gave me some medicine, but then she checked my blood pressure, which was low but all she said was drink coffee with no sugar! That is so funny to me that all they do for low blood pressure is give you coffee. Oh well, who knows, maybe their ways here in Guatemala are better for us than all the things doctors pumps us full of In N.America!
The new team got in last night, I am looking forward to meeting them and getting to see Ron, Cynthia, and some other friends again!
Here are some pictures from Thursday and yesterday.
