Daily Routine at the Centre

When I wake up in the morning I will start helping feed and bathe the bathe the children
At 9 am the team will arrive (as long as they leave on schedule!) They will then help bathe and dress the kids, then change the bedding on the cribs. This is when all the children age 3+ go off to school.

10am is play time - Finger paint, play dough, blocks, ect.. for the kids ages 2-3
- getting out onto mats and singing and playing for the little ones

10 30m is snack - The "big" kids get a snack in the eating area and depending on the age of the baby they either get "incaperina" which is a nutritional supplement drink, or formula. After they are finished it is back to playing

11 30am - Singing, crafts and a story for the "big" kids

12 30pm Lunch time - The children from school are finished now and come to join the rest of the group. By now most of the kids are fussy, hungry and tired! So we try to make lunch get brought out and fed to them as quick as we can!
After lunch all the kids get their hands and faces washed, teeth brushed, and then put down for nap time (yes, even the older children)

1pm - Team lunch, when all the children are dealt with it is time for us to eat.

2pm - we start projects around the center such as organizing the closets and pantry, wiping down all the children's toys and furniture, washing floors, fixing doors, windows, and whatever else needs fixing, ect...

2 30pmish - The children wake up and we play with them outside if we can and do some games.

3pm is snack again

3 15pm is when the staff have a devotion and training time. The team has full responsibility for them children at this point.

4 30pm Is the end of the day for the team and they depart for Antigua.

5pm is dinner time for the children, I will help out with this and then play with the kids a little before getting them ready for bed.

6pm Children's bed time and my dinner time!

Wow, These days are full for sure but so fun and rewarding!! I am so excited to get on the plane tomorrow morning!
