Small Things

A nice hot shower was a wonderful way to end this evening. I have spent these last two nights at the hotel with this AMAZING group. I have made so many great new relationships this week that I hope will last. After spending the weekend without a team at the center and all the nights out there I have really come to appreciate simple things like a shower without having the door banged on, a comfy bed without noise, and just being able to have a conversation unlimited by any unknown words.

Tomorrow is the last day with this team and I have to say, I am disappointed. I have really enjoyed this week. But I am looking forward to more time with the kids and being able to get to know the workers more.

There are quite a few little girls on this team ages 8-11 and their help has been so sweet this week, they have been washing all the toys from all the rooms keeping these children healthy. Most of the children have been sick this week so it has been a struggle to find a way to keep them all content and thriving. Our team has been periodically getting sick as well, loosing their voices, getting a cold, or some even have the stomach flu. Hopefully that is all over now and we will all start an incline in health now!
