Today was so much fun! One of the young girls on out team, Abby, had her birthday yesterday and it was Zoila's birthday today so we had a big party complete with cake, ice cream, candy, and a pinata! The kids had a blast! Even some of out littler canaries got to come out and play.

The weather hasn't been very nice this week and I am sure the team is looking forward to getting back to Florida and the sun, but I know that these children will be on their hearts and they won't want to leave. These little children are grab your heart like no other, their sweet, kind nature is something we don't see often in N.America from any of our kids. Olivia has been bugging me this week about spoiling Kaylee, but I do truly believe that you cant spoil a child with too much love and affection, she has just lost her family, she deserves something extra!

Something exciting to me is that Kaylee has started willingly playing alone, she will crawl across the play area to get a toy, or go sit in an exersaucer and play with toys for a little while. It has concerned me that she has lost some weight since being here, but hopefully that is just from getting to the end of her diarrhea and getting any parasite out of her belly so she can start to gain weight. She looks much better in her color and disposition though.

Maria Asuncion in the Pollos/Chicks, has started walking around pushing a chair yesterday. That was really sweet. She has never really shown much interest in walking and even gets mad at you when you try to make her walk, so seeing her begin to try has been a great encouragement.

The Ardillas/Squirrels all got dollies today and boy are they excited. They carried them around and would not put them down all day!

Tomorrow is visitation day again and I am looking forward to seeing that. I have been sick the last couple days so I will probably sleep in, but I hope to get a good look at the parent and child interactions so I can have a good report when the team next week starts asking about certain children's parents.

I'm sure some of you will appreciate the Gator hat on Flory!
